The producers of Disney Retuned are putting on another children’s theatre musical production with an original script by Patrick Vella and music by composer Dominic Galea.

Once Upon A Toy lets us into the secrets of what toys get up to inside a toyshop when no humans are around. However, an incident different from any other seems to be taking place inside this particular toyshop for the duration of this inventive play.

The Toy Fairy has broken the news to the rest of the toys, after they are awakened by her fairy dust, that the witch named Hitch is planning to toy-nap all the toys in the world and it is their turn. What should the toys do? Should they run and hide or should they wait for the Toy Soldier to come and save the day? However, there is no time to think, as Hitch the Witch is fast on their heels and toy-naps Jack In The Box together with Orangutan and Kozo and hopes to capture the rest of the toys.

However, Hitch has not yet won as the other toys including a Fairy, a Soldier, a Robot, a Teddy Bear and a Toy Train join forces to help rescue their friends from the witch and prevent her from doing evil deeds for good. Can they

actually manage all of this? Who will win the fight of Toys against Hitch the Witch? Will there be a final battle between the mysterious dragon and our heroes?

Only magic holds the fate of this modern day fairy tale, which will be taking place at St James Cavalier Theatre on 8 (Easter Sunday), 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 April.
