Two promising young pianists will be giving a piano recital at the next Lunchtime Concert in the Music Room of St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta.

Fourteen-year-old Christine Marie Borg and 11-year-old Michela Galea will play a series of piano duets and solo pieces of various composers. The concert, organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, will take place on Wednesday.

The performance starts at 12.30pm and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Tickets at Lm1 and Lm0.50 each for children under 12 and senoir citizens can be purchased from the Booking Office at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta, Tel: 21 223 200 (opening hours from 10am to 9pm daily).

Christine Marie Borg will perform Beethoven’s Sonata in G, and Rossini’s Petite Caprice, while Michela Galea will perform Sonata in F by Mozart and Chopin’s Etude No 5. They will play three duets, namely Poulenc’s Sonata, Malaguena by E. Lecuona, and the famous Hungarian Rhapsody No 2 by Liszt.
