Thursday is Victim Support Day (VSM) and members of the European Forum for Victim Services in 22 countries in Europe, including Malta, will be marking this day in one form or another.
Victim Support Malta is holding a seminar to launch its latest research and to forge and strengthen links with other relevant organisations. Dr Michael Spiteri will be giving a short talk about the experiences with victims at the emergency department of St Luke’s Hospital.
Dr Tonio Azzopardi will be sharing his experience as a criminal lawyer who was also a victim of crime. The police involved in the protocol with VSM will also be contributing to the seminar.
VSM is an autonomous, voluntary organisation that gives support to victims of crime with the help of trained volunteers.
Anyone wanting to know more about the NGO and would like to meet the volunteers are welcome to the seminar at the Attard & Co. Ltd foyer (former Marbelt Stores, next to Marsa Church), in Triq Patri Felicjan Bilocca, Marsa on Thursday at 6pm.
