Labour leader Alfred Sant yesterday demanded an apology from Parliamentary Secretary Edwin Vassallo for comments the latter made in Santa Lucia last Sunday.

An MLP statement quoted Mr Vassallo as having invited the MLP to visit industrial estates and take pictures. When they were about to do that, the MLP quoted Mr Vassallo saying, they should not send anyone the night before to dump waste in the area.

Dr Sant said that what Mr Vassallo had said was shameful and he demanded an apology.
