A joint venture between the Resources and Infrastructure Ministry and Mosta local council is seeing the Reggie Cilia garden being given a facelift.
Visiting the work being carried out, Resources and Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit said that during the past three years, several projects, worth more than Lm400,000 were carried out in various localities, assisting local councils in the embellishment projects in their localities.
Minister Zammit said that indirectly this served as additional funding for local councils, over and above the money allocated to them.
He said the work at the Reggie Cilia garden was being done as a joint venture with Mosta local council. The garden, among other things, will see new paving, the installation of a lighting system and garden furniture and landscaping.
The playground fixtures will also be upgraded and rubber flooring will be laid. The work on the garden is expected to be concluded by next month.
