Malta will be facing Switzerland in a women’s friendly international at the Hibernians Ground today.

Coach Pierre Brincat, assisted by Alfred Zammit, will take the opportunity to draft several new faces in his squad which comprises players from Hibernians, Birkirkara, Melita and Mosta.

Having been eliminated from the preliminary round of the UEFA Women’s Championship last November when our team suffered defeats to Luxembourg and group winners Slovakia following a goalless draw with Lithuania, the match will be in preparation for Malta’s next competitive international commitments.

Switzerland, currently on a training camp on the Island, will also regard this match as one of a series of work-outs prior to their competitive programme.

The match kicks off at 3pm and entrance is free.
