It was in 1997, on the insistence of Teatru Rjal director Pawlu Testa, that playwright Charles Clews wrote the third script of Karmena with the title Karmena Abdilla, 10 snin wara t-Tieg (Karmena Abdilla, 10 years after the wedding).

It was precisely this comedy which has broken all record attendance in these last 15 years when it was presented for 14 times.

To mark its 15th anniversary Teatru Rjal is presenting the same comedy at the Catholic Institute in Floriana on 3 March at 6.30pm and on 4 March at 2.30pm and 6.30 pm.

After the wedding and the honeymoon of Karmena Abdilla many had wondered what had happened to the comic character.

Taking part will be Hector Bruno, Joe Attard, Josephine Mahoney, Ronald Briffa, Ina Robinich, Laura Bruno, Pawlu and Eileen Micallef, Renato Dimech, Mario Camilleri, Franky Borg, Louis Gatt, Manuel Cutajar, Shanice Scerri and many others.
