Maltacom Cards for Malta Hospice

Malta Independent Saturday, 24 February 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

Maltacom recently made another donation of Easyline cards to the Malta Hospice, intended for use by patients who need to travel abroad for treatment.

Maltacom said the dual scope was to ease the financial burden for these patients with severe medical conditions and at the same time enable them to make contact with home during the period of their treatment overseas.

The Malta Hospice is known for the exclusive holistic support that the movement’s team of dedicated members offers on a voluntary basis to cancer and motor neuron disease patients and their families. Rather than looking at patients as sick persons, the Hospice deals with them as human beings, tending to their physical, emotional, social and spiritual problems after assessing and implementing a care plan for each patient. Maltacom said it prided itself in a long-standing bond with Malta Hospice and it had on several occasions responded to the philanthropic organisation’s appeal for assistance.
