The fifth cat show organised by the MFGC was held last weekend at

the Coastline Hotel, Salina. The show was sponsored by Gourmet Pearl and

supported by Micabliss Persians and the TV programme Aroma. The MFGC was very satisfied with the turnout because, considering that it was carnival weekend, over 680 people still found time to visit the show. A good number of children participated in the carnival costume competition, the winner of which was chosen by TV presenter Moira Delia.

The president of the Malta Feline Guardians Club, Mr Kevin Charles Micallef, thanked all the committee members as well as the members who are showing great interest in the club and all the enthusiastic exhibitors.

All the pets exhibited were in top condition, as confirmed by the vet Dr Ivan Galea and the groomer Ms Nathalie Berry.

The Best Overall Cat award for this show was won by a three-year-old domestic cat by the name of Casper, owned by George Camilleri. This cat was also chosen as the best overall by the general public and also won another award presented by Moira Delia.

The 4th & 5th International Cat Show will be held on 24 and 25 March at

the Westin Dragonara Resort between 10.30am and 6pm on both days. The closing date for applications is 15 March.
