A 47-year-old from Qormi was yesterday treated for serious injuries he sustained after falling three storeys, the police said.
The man was working on a lift in a residence in St George’s Road, St Julian’s at about 1.50pm when the accident happened, the police said.
The man was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital where he was treated for the serious injuries sustained.
Another man was critically injured yesterday when he fell through the skylight of a roof of a Sliema house.
The police said the incident took place in Sr Francis Street at around 7pm when the man, 58, from San Gwann, fell through the skylight and plummeted two storeys.
He was rushed to St Luke's Hospital where he was treated for the serious injuries he sustained. He was said to be in critical condition.
Duty magistrate Anthony Vella was informed about the case and appointed a number of court experts to assist him with the investigations.
