The Malta Environment and Planning Authority said the public hearing due to be held on Thursday has been postponed. It was to have discussed item PA 4144/06, the demolition of an existing hotel, restoration of Cambridge Battery, six apartment blocks containing 386 flats, four levels of underground parking, private service amenities for residents, and change of use from barracks to offices.

As for the site at the Fort Cambridge area, Sliema (outline application), the Planning Directorate has asked the Mepa board to be given more time to assess new options related to this application.
