Massimo Cremona reached the semi final stages of the Grand Prix of Denmark, held in Odense, last week..
He was narrowly beaten by Italian Saverio Bari 0-1, thus just failing to reach the final.
In the Group phase Cremona beat easily Danish player Christiansen 10-0 and the Norwegian Pedersen 5-0.
In the last 16, Cremona put out Greek Prantsudis 5-2, while in the quarter final, he eliminated Belgium's Vito di Ruggiero 3-0.
The tournament was won by Dutchman Verhagen whereas in the final he beat Bari 2-1.
The Gran Prix attracted 54 players in the Open Category, coming from 10 different nations.
This weekend Cremona will be taking part in the Major of Mons, in Belgium. Mark Gauci, Hansel Mallia and Joseph Mifsud will also be taking part. The four players will form the Malta national team to play a friendly international against Belgium.
