The construction of a new hall and library at the Safi primary school is nearing completion, Education, Youth and Employment Minister Louis Galea said.

The minister was speaking during a visit to the school yesterday. He said the project was part of the work being carried out by the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools.

Dr Galea added that two new halls at the Mqabba and Siggiewi primary schools, as well as the newly-reconstructed Verdala school in Cospicua and a new school in Qormi, would also be inaugurated in the coming months.

The multi-purpose hall at the Safi school includes a number of amenities and would also be available for use by the local community.

A total of Lm200,000 is being spent at the Safi school.

The minister said the government meant to provide the best-possible resources and facilities in every school and locality for the benefit of all children.
