Open spaces are constantly under attack. In spite of all the rhetoric about the importance of the family by their party, prominent PN candidates in Attard had proposed the bulldozing of a pedestrian area next to the church to turn it into a parking area.

Another leaflet being distributed boasts that a playing field in Attard’s housing estate will soon be turned into, guess what, a parking area. The excuse is vandalism. What a modern, forward-looking vision! Surely that is what children and families really need, more areas for parked cars and less open spaces.
