Eurosport are sponsoring the first division KO which is being held once again after having been sidelined for several years.

The draws for the quarter-finals were made yesterday during a meeting at the Eurosport outlet in Psaila Street, Birkirkara.

They resulted as follows: Vittoriosa Stars-Senglea Athletic; St Patrick-Qormi; Mosta-San Gwann and Mqabba-Tarxien R.

The other two teams, Hamrun and Naxxar, had been eliminated in a preliminary round. They lost against Senglea and Mqabba respectively.

The first two matches are to be played on Saturday 7 April; the remaining two games are to be staged on 8 April.

Michael Mercieca, president of the first division clubs standing committee, thanked Michele Peresso Group, for their sponsorship through Eurosport.

Ms Cristina Peresso, a director of the company, said the club was glad to be sponsoring such a tournament.

The company will also be providing Adidas balls for the remaining Bank of Valletta first division league matches as well as for the knock-out games.
