SKY Telecom Ltd, the first company in Malta to offer a choice for fixed telephony, has announced the launch of two new packages aimed at the low volume telephone subscriber.
Since launching the telephony service, SKY Telecom has been generating a great deal of interest, and take up of the service has exceeded expectations. In order to meet the demand for more flexible telephony pricing, SKY Telecom has now come up with these two new packages – SKY Home-290 and SKY Line.
SKY Home-290, is a bundle with free talk time priced at Lm2.90 per month. This package gives the subscriber 100 minutes of free calls to any local fixed line telephones together with low-cost international calls which start from only 1c2 per minute (with per
second billing) and savings on calls to local mobile phones.
As with all SKY Home packages, there is no connection charge and no monthly rental fee to pay. SKY Home subscribers do not need to install any new equipment or cabling and they keep the same telephone and the same number, including any star services they are currently using.

The second new product now available from SKY Telecom is SKY Line, which is a rent-free, pre-paid home line service for customers who want to control costs by topping up credit on their home line account as needed. As well as being used for home line top-ups, the SKY Line card can also be used to call international destinations (from 1c2 per minute) and Go mobile and Vodafone numbers at lower rates.
The SKY Line calling cards can be used from any residential or business telephone and users do not pay a local call charge. These features make SKY Line different from any other international calling card in Malta.
SKY Line cards are available from all Maltapost branches and appointed retail outlets in Malta and Gozo.
