The Pastoral Liturgical Youth Group (PLYG) is organising a sports marathon and other activities to raise money for the new youth centre at Qormi where the same youngsters enjoy themselves and meet weekly.

The marathon will be held at the youth centre in St. Edward’s Street, Qormi between Friday, 9 March at 7.30pm till Saturday, 10 March at 11.30pm. During the marathon, which has the motto ‘Power in Unity’, the youths will play various types of sports and hold other activities like children’s games, workshops for young people and adults and bingo games. Entertainment will also take place on both Friday and Saturday evenings with the presence of various local bands and singers. ‘Bastjanizi 95FM’, the local radio station at Qormi will be transmitting updates and information during the marathon.

PLYG, which is made up of more than 60 teenagers, every month animates Mass during the weekend by singing and representing the Gospel message through acting. Other activities include Skola Sajf. The PLYG group meets every Friday at 8pm in St Sebastian Pastoral Centre under the coordination of Fr Reuben Gauci and other animators.
