Joseph Zammit’s letter entitled An uphill task for the Church (TMID, 3 March) is factual, but Mr Zammit’s attitude lacks conviction.
First of all, the new Archbishop is a man with enthusiasm and not as he states “seems to be”. Secondly, he passes the buck to “the Church” to “take the opportunity” to bring back the lost sheep. I ask him, who and what is “the Church”? Let us not depend solely on our pastor, parish priests and priests or the religious orders. I ask and pray for Mr Zammit, myself and others to think and act positively. After all, we are the Church – the Archbishop alone is not a miracle worker.
