Brooke and Daniele have managed to bring honour to the Maltese Islands once again by winning the San Remo Music Awards. The song interpreted by Brooke and Daniele (pictured left) was composed by another well-known local duo, Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg. Thanks to this victory, Brooke and Daniele will be travelling around the world as backing vocalists with famous Italian singers during their tours. Previous years have seen winners of the festival backing Lucio Dalla and Antonello Venditti, but the singer for this year has not yet been announced. The places they are to visit include Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Cuba, Mexico, Spain, Romania, Georgia and Moscow. The highlight for these young singers was when they were immediately offered a place at the San Remo Academy.

The finals, which were held at the Pala Fiori, were presented by former Miss Italia Danny Mendes. They will be shown later this month on Canale Italia. Since it was the peak season for San Remo, Brooke and Daniele were also guests on a number of television shows and also performed on three different occasions for several Sky TV channels. During their stay in San Remo, Brooke and Daniele also managed to record the video for the song A Chi Mi Dice, which was financed by the organisers of the festival Una Voce per San Remo. This video will be used to promote the singers and will be aired on various Italian television stations.

Brooke Borg is a Maltese singer and presenter (currently playing the part of Rowena in the TV series Becky) and Daniele is Italian and will soon be taking part in an Italian film. Together they have managed to be very successful and will certainly persist until they reach the top. Anyone who would like to see their performances in San Remo can watch them on Sky TV Channel 886 from Monday to Friday from 6.50pm to 7.30pm.
