Robbers bound an elderly woman to a chair while they robbed her of a considerable amount of cash and valuable objects, the police said yesterday.
The 62-year-old woman was later taken to hospital for treatment to the slight injuries she suffered during her ordeal, a police statement said.
The police said that two hooded men made their way into the woman’s residence in Pietá yesterday morning, bound her to a chair and then made off with the money and valuables.
Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani appointed several experts to help her in the inquiry.
