Postponed Matches to be played tomorrow

Malta Independent Tuesday, 13 March 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The two Premier League matches postponed last Sunday because the Hibernians Ground was waterlogged are now being played tomorrow.

The two matches will be played at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium with the St George-Marsa Relegation Pool match commencing at 6pm and the Marsaxlokk-Msida St Joseph Championship Pool match starting at 8pm.

The MFA has also announced a change of date in connexion with the Premier League Championship Pool matches. In fact, next Friday’s scheduled programme has been moved to Sunday and it now reads as follows: 2pm Msida SJ-Birkirkara and 4pm Valletta-Marsaxlokk.

This was done to give Msida a longer rest after being also involved in tomorrow’s encounter against Marsaxlokk.

Meanwhile, the MFA has also announced a new date for the staging of the two first division matches, which were also postponed last Sunday because the Victor Tedesco Stadium was also waterlogged.

The Tarxien Rainbows-Qormi and St. Patrick-Hamrun S. encounters will now be played on Monday 19 March at the same venue with the first match starting at 1.30pm and the second at 3.30pm.
