The much looked for annual event at TCK is, without doubt, the “San Michel Team Tennis tournament” which, this year was due to start yesterday and continuing every weekend till the 27th May when the final match will be played.

This tournament, the 15th of its edition, is once again being sponsored by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. by its product “San Michel Table Water”

The six captains, who are to lead the competing teams, together with the Director and referee of the tournament Benny Vidal, chose their respective squads from the 72 men and 54 ladies who applied to participate in this tournament.

This year’s teams and Captains are as follows;

Team “A” Xuereb Mary; Team “B” Vella Joseph; Team “C” Gusman Silvio; Team “D” Zammit Joseph; Team “E” Vella Joe; Team “F” Portelli Doriana.

Judith Ricci and Christine Piscopo will be helping Benny Vidal in the running of the tournament.
