The current market price for a tumolo of land is Lm500,000. This is equivalent to some Lm450 per square metre.

The land on which SmartCity will be built is being sold for the equivalent of Lm 97 per square metre, while the land sold to the Manoel Island Development Project (MIDI) (in Tigne, not Manoel Island) was transferred at Lm82 per square metre. At these prices, representing a discount of some 80 per cent from market price, land for a 150 square-metre terraced house would cost Lm15,000. I was wondering whether there is any more land available at this marked-down price for me and my children?
