It was confirmed yesterday that Dr Peter Fenech will be contesting for the MFA Vice-President post in the forthcoming elections to be held in July.

He confirmed this yesterday with the Malta Indepenedent on Sunday. Earlier last month Dr Joe Mifsud and former treasurer Norman Darmanin Demajo had officially announced that they will be contesting for the Presidency.

The election for the top MFA officials is to be held during the Annual General Meeting of the Malta Football Association late in July.

Dr Peter Fenech confirmed his intention of contesting for Vice-President and said that he is completely independent from any block giving support to either Dr Joe Mifsud or to Norman Darmanin Demajo.
