The Scout Association’s Festa Scout at the National Park, Ta’ Qali, marking the 100th anniversary of scouting worldwide, comes to an end today.
Various Scout Groups from the Scout Association of Malta spent their last night at Ta’ Qali and will return home today after taking part in several activities over the past three days.
The idea of Festa Scout was to show the public in general the many skills that the cubs, scouts, venture scouts and rovers learn throughout their activities during the year in their various Groups. The public was able to share and join in these activities through a Walk-in Activities experience during which the different groups presented their various activities at different times throughout the two days.
The various activities that were organised consisted of craft-making such as plaster craft, pioneering, rope making, cooking, games such as obstacle races, etc. An Aerial Runway and a Climbing / Abseiling Tower were also on site.
Various Scout Bands gave band performances yesterday afternoon.
