Man Arraigned on various charges

A man was arraigned in court yesterday afternoon and charged with various offences.

Romeo Bone, 30, of Floriana, was accused of using violence while committing an armed robbery in an establishment in Church Street, St Julian’s, the value of which exceeded Lm1,000.

He was also accused of holding against their will two employees of the said establishment, of being in possession of a fire-arm during the robbery, of keeping a fire-arm without the necessary police licence, and of stealing two vehicles and various objects he found inside the said vehicles.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona, denied the accused bail, and ordered that he be remanded in custody at the Corradino Correctional Facility.
