The Third World Group is a local non-profit and voluntary organisation, which has been working within local communities for the past 33 years. The group works with deprived communities, in areas where there is a high concentration of social problems and people living in sub-standard housing.

The goal of the group has always been to be close to the people who are socially emarginated. Visiting families from these backgrounds, doing housework for the elderly, and organising activities for the children of these communities, are just some of the ways in which we help minimise the impacts of this reality.

Currently, the group owns property in one of these areas, in which weekly activities for children are organised. Being an old building in this area, it constantly requires maintenance, such as plastering, painting, plumbing, etc. Recently we are having a serious plumbing problem in our premises which is making it impossible for us to work with one of the groups of children we work with.

We are hereby looking for anyone who has expertise in plumbing to come and help us fix our current urgent problem. Any other help – be it in the form of manual work or donations – from either individuals or organisations would be greatly appreciated.
