A man sustained life-threatening injuries after falling three storeys while working at St Paul’s Bay, police said.
Preliminary investigations showed the 34-year-old, from Hamrun, was carrying out work in an apartment in Gifen Street at around 2.15pm when he fell.
He was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where at first his condition was diagnosed as serious but not critical. Later, doctors changed their diagnosis from serious to critical.
Duty Magistrate Doreen Clarke was informed about the case and she appointed various experts to help with the inquiry.
Police investigations are still under way.
