Maltese international Michael Mifsud is really confident that Malta will manage to obtain a positive result against Moldova today.

Speaking to Melita Sports journalists in Chisinau, the Maltese stalwart confirmed that within the Malta team at the moment there was high optimism that the lads will not come empty handed back to Malta.

Mifsud was speaking to reporters just after the evening training session held under constant rain in a local training ground.

“They have three very good strikers but they are not that sharp at the back, and therefore we should try to press and attack them when in possession,” the Coventry City striker commented.

On the other hand he still admitted that Moldova are still a strong squad which possesses individual football talent with some members of the team playing with teams abroad in the Russian and Romanian league.

Asked how he thinks will be the best logistic tactic to play against Moldova, Michael replied: “We have to keep the ball in our possession as much as possible and keep on fighting for each other and cover our own mistakes”.
