Vodafone announced that Hatem Dowidar has been appointed CEO – Partner Markets with effect from 1 June. Mr Dowidar will continue as CEO of Vodafone Malta until his successor is announced.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Malta, I have met some great people and am really proud to be part of this team,” said Hatem Dowidar. “I am very proud of Vodafone Malta’s achievements during the past two years. We were the first local mobile operator to launch 3G services and very soon we will be the first mobile operator to launch Broadband Wireless Access services.”

Hatem has been the CEO of Vodafone Malta since July 2005. Prior to this, he was Director of Voice Propositions in Group Marketing and Marketing Director in Egypt.
As CEO Partner Markets, Mr Dowidar will be based in Vodafone Group’s Head Office in Newbury. The new CEO for Vodafone Malta will be announced in the coming weeks.
