Maltacom Group will be hosting a workshop in Malta organised by the European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association (ETNO).
The topic of the workshop is “ETNO Working Group on Fraud Control and Network Security and its Impact on Quality of Service of Next Generation Networks”. ETNO is the leading policy group for European electronic communications network operators. Maltacom is a member of the ETNO Group.
Over 40 delegates – all ETNO members – from a cross section of high-profile EU network operators will be flying to Malta for the workshop, which will be held between tomorrow and Saturday.
ETNO members form part of a select group comprising Europe’s main providers of fixed, mobile and broadband services. Delegates from telecoms giants including British Telecom, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telecom, KPN, France Telecom and Portugal Telecom are expected to address the workshop during which Maltacom will present two papers.
The ETNO group prides itself on having a track record of developing measures to enhance customer experience in the various EU countries where they operate. The workshop being held in Malta is market-driven and targeted to develop operational security and widen the scope of fraud management specifically in the European telecommunications marketplace.
The workshop will consist of round table discussions and bilateral contacts.
The Working Group has links with prestigious international organisations such as the Council of Europe, the European Commission, European and the Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), Eurescom, Forum for the International Irregular Network Access (FIINA), Quality of Service Development Group (QSDG), among others.
The focus of these alliances is to assist the ETNO Group in reaching objectives and implementing ambitious projects for the benefit of its member companies.
