From Mr L. Cauchi
Regarding the fuss made about gays recently and the controversy over their right to marry
and raise children, I would like to point out that homosexuality has been in existence since
the creation of sex. Some argue that homosexuality is part of nature; some cultures and some philosophies have even condoned it. But, I would also like to point out that no culture, no philosophy, no government ever conceived of the family unit as consisting of gay couples and adopted children – until now! As far as I can tell, history has no case of people of the same sex being married! It was inconceivable.
If we conclude that the gays are right and have the right to get married and raise children, what will be next? Sibling marriages? Sibling rabbits mate and bear young, so I guess it's natural for human siblings to do so too and we can knock off incest from the list of social no-nos! And what about the children when they reach school age? How will other students relate to them? Come on, a line must be drawn! There’s a difference between freedom and a free-for-all!
