A man and an underage boy were yesterday charged with stealing cash, cigarettes and hi-fi equipment from the Nationalist Party Club in Siggiewi on Saturday night.
Malvin Catania, 20, and a 15-year-old boy, both from Siggiewi, were charged with stealing more than Lm1,000 worth of products from their hometown’s PN club. They were also charged with damaging various amusement machines and damaging the club’s front door. The theft allegedly took place on Saturday to Sunday night.
Before Magistrate Silvio Meli, both accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000 each.
Police Inspector Marisa Camilleri prosecuted. Dr Franco Debono and Dr Charmaine Cherrett appeared for Mr Catania while Dr Daniela Mangion appeared for the underage boy.
