A wide-ranging programme of cultural events is being held on 18, 19 and 20 May in Victoria. The events, known as Lejlet Lapsi – Notte Gozitana, are being organised jointly by the Gozo Ministry and the Tourism and Culture Ministry, with Bank of Valletta as the main sponsor.

“We are delighted to support Lejlet Lapsi – Notte Gozitana in line with BOV’s commitment towards promoting tourism in Gozo and playing a leading role in the promotion of arts and culture in our country,” said Tonio Depasquale, chief executive officer at Bank of Valletta. Mr Depasquale was given a preview of the full programme of events that will be taking place at Victoria and the Citadel in Gozo during the weekend around Lapsi.

Mr Depasquale said the programme being put together should prove to be a crowd-puller. “While these events build on the successes registered by similar events held in Valletta, the Lejlet Lapsi – Notte Gozitana programme will take place in a unique setting. The programme being put together is ambitious with cultural events taking place over a three-day period and with themed activities taking place concurrently at all the squares in Victoria and the Citadel,” he said.
