The La Vittoria Band Club of Mellieha is organising a replica of Our Lord’s Last Supper presented on the Jewish Rite together with a miniature model of the City of Jerusalem worked out by Fr Pawlin Cremona OC and various symbols representing the Passion of Jesus Christ, with pictures by Joe Sammut.
This is being held in collaboration with Ghaqda Dilettanti Gimgha Kbira Ghawdex, and includes sacred paintings on loan by Gaulos Exclusive Arts of Gozo, various woven articles by Alda Bugeja and flower arrangements by Christopher Bartolo and Marisa Mifsud.
The exhibition will be opened by Mgr Joseph Mercieca, Archbishop Emeritus, tomorrow, when there will also be a musical programme by La Vittoria Band and choir under the direction of Mro Joseph Vella.
The public is invited to visit the exhibition at the La Vittoria Band Club near Mellieha parish church between Thursday and Good Friday 6 April. It is open on weekdays from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, on Palm Sunday from 9am to noon and 5pm to 8.30pm, on Maundy Thursday from 5pm to11pm and on Good Friday from 9am to noon.
