To mark the second anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II, the Kumitat Monument Nazzjonali Papa Gwanni Pawlu II is inviting all devotees of the late pontiff to visit the national monument in Triq Papa Gwanni Pawlu II in Victoria, between Sunday and Monday.
The local council of Rabat, Malta, in collaboration with the Minor Franciscan community and the Kumitat Monument Nazzjonali Papa Gwanni Pawlu II is also inviting the public to a concert of Sacred Music for the Holy Week. The choral recital is being given by the Chorus Urbanus, soloists Yvonne Galea (soprano) and Noel Galea (bass), under the musical direction of Mro John Galea.
The concert will feature music by C. Franck, M.A. Ingegneri, J.S. Bach, A. Zimmermann and music written by John Galea and performed exclusively by Chorus Urbanus. The concert will take place on Monday 2 April at Santa Marija ta’ Gesu Church run by the Minor Franciscans, Ta’ Giezu, in Rabat, Malta and will start at 8pm.
Entrance to the concert is free but a monetary collection will be held in aid of the expenses of the monument.
