The Malta Labour Party deputy leader for party affairs, Michael Falzon, was in Brussels earlier this week where he held meetings with officials from European socialist parties.

Dr Falzon met, among others, the president of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, vice-president Robert Goebbels and political consultant Yonnec Polet.

Topics on the agenda included Malta’s development since the country joined the European Union, irregular immigration, the changeover to the euro and developments with regard to the European Constitution.
