The Annual International Tournament organised by the San Gwann Youth Football Nursery continued gathering momentum when a number of important dignitaries pertaining to the locality offered their sponsorship to support the running costs of the event.

George Pullicino, Minister for the Environment and Rural Affairs, Leo Brincat, Labour MP, and prospective Labour candidate Simon Saliba presented financial backing and support for the tournament during a visit to the Nursery on Saturday morning. Joe Borg, Mayor of San Gwann was also present. Other notable tournament supporters also include Dolores Cristina, Minister for the Family and Social Solidarity, and Francis Zammit Dimech, Minister for Tourism, who could not attend on the day due to other commitments.

The Tournament is annually organised and sponsored by the San Gwann Nursery, in collaboration with the San Gwann Local Council and Ministry of Tourism over the Easter period. This years edition is scheduled to start on the 31st of March and will run till the 10th of April at the San Gwann synthetic pitches.
