Wilfred Kenely has been appointed Maltese High Commissioner for India. He will be residing in Delhi.

This will be the first time that Malta will have a high commission in India, following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1965.

Mr Kenely has experience in both the public and private sector.

He is currently director-general of the Federation of Industry, a post he has occupied since January 2005.

He was also chairman of the Manoel Theatre.

Between 2001 and 2004 he was executive head of the Malta Council for Science and Technology after have spent two years as general manager of Standard Publications Ltd.

He was also IT Systems Manager with Allied Newspapers Ltd and Standard Publications Ltd.
