Two men were seriously injured yesterday after the ceiling of a building under construction in Qormi collapsed while they were working on it, according to the police. A third man escaped unhurt.
The police said the accident happened at about 8am in Zinzel Street. The ceiling collapsed with both workers falling a height of one storey, ending up on the rubble.
The two injured men are aged 38 and 39, and both of them are from Zurrieq. Despite suffering serious injuries, both are reported to be in a stable condition.
