Alex Borg has won the fourth ranking tournament organized by the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association after beating Duncan Pisani 5-4 in a close final.

Frame scores (Borg first): 90-7, 59-72, 67-22, 1-67, 48-63, 68-20, 37-69, 95-1, 53-11.

The match was controlled by referee Frans Bugeja. The trophies were presented to the winners by Joe Degiorgio, secretary/treasurer of the association.

Meanwhile, the final of the Premier League is to be played at the Count Roger Band Club in Rabat in 13 April.

The semi-finals are to be played on 10 April. Alex Borg and Simon Camilleri face each other at the Jesmond Sports Club in Hamrun, while Simon Zammit and Frans Mintoff will face off in the other semi-final at the 147 Snooker Hall, also in Hamrun on 11 April.
