Floriana FC have announced that player Christian Caruana has apologised for his behaviour at the Ta’ Qali Stadium last Sunday when he threw the club jersey away following his substitution during the match against Marsa.

In a short statement over the signature of club secretary Dione Borg, the Greens said Cassar had accepted the fact that he showed lack of respect to the club, the team and Floriana FC fans. The player had also said he had acted in such manner as he was under pressure and tension caused by the progress of the match.
