Alternattiva Demokratika – the Green Party chairperson Harry Vassallo condemned the arson attack on Floriana councillor Brian Zammit’s car. Dr Vassallo said that “as a civilised nation we should feel collectively humiliated by such cowardly acts. Mr Zammit’s, like other councillors’ work for their respective locality should be appreciated, and issues have to be dealt with in an atmosphere of dialogue.” AD expressed solidarity with Mr Zammit and his family.

The arson attack was also condemned by the Association of Local Councils, which also expressed solidarity with Mr Zammit.
