The Deceivers

Malta Independent Monday, 9 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Of all the countries who joined the European Union, Malta got the least percentage of votes approving full membership, the latter being something we were on the verge of for a massive amount of years although the “historic event” didn’t actually come to pass until many moons later.

With the help of many vulnerable hunters and trappers, who swallowed the story of beneficial proposals from the EU after supposedly many a delegation came to Malta to discuss the hobby of thousands, and whoppers that nothing and no one would come between hunters/trappers and their “urge to kill”, the PN won the general election that came a few months after the EU referendum.

Councillor Stavros Dimas, who had a lot to do with ambience and hunters/trappers, recently confirmed that not only was the subject never discussed but that no delegation ever set foot on these shores so that the hunters/trappers would continue to delight in their “hobby”, a hobby to which I am not partial, but the opinion that I hold about hunting and trapping is not the issue here. The betrayal of the PN concerning hunting and trapping definitely is. The trappers can wave goodbye once and for all to any form of trapping using nets or other suitable apparatus to suit their purpose, while the hunters are in the same predicament. Truth be told, to win the last general election, we have a “certificate” from Stavros Dimas stating firmly and clearly that hunters and trappers, who played a large part in the PN winning the last general election, did only three things to further keep a strong hold on their “supporters”. They lied and lied and lied. They were lied to over and over again by the man who now resides in San Anton and the other one whose place of a abode is now Castile. Quite recently, the people of integrity were astonished, wondering over and over again how the PN made out part of the population (made up of hunters and trappers) to be numbskulls and wondering even more how the silence of the lambs came about from Eddie Fenech Adami and Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi concerning Stavros Dimas’s statements that the discussions about hunters and trappers were a fallacy, that in actual fact is something that never occurred.

The conclusion is easy even for the blind to see, the PN, the austere people never with aphasia as a disability, gained the victory of the general election with the help of hunters and trappers have now helped to terminate “part of our Maltese culture”, which has existed from pre-historic times.

Some time ago in Spain, when a terrorist attack on trains was instigated and many people died, their then Prime Minister, because he had lied to the Spanish people about who was guilty of the terrorist attacks, was forced into opposition because he was irresponsible and had lied through his teeth about who was guilty or not.

Dr Gonzi and ex-Prime Minister Dr Fenech Adami did not let anyone die through their lying, they did not take part in stopping anybody’s heart beating, but they were the main participants in piercing the hearts of many hunters and trappers by the abolition of their hobby. Were they politicians and real gentleman, they too should opt to be placed in the opposition.

Whether I agree with hunting and trapping or not is irrelevant. Those who deceived these people with their weapons of lies and deceit should be ashamed of the lies they uttered. A scandal like this leaves the trappers and hunters with one option only: definitely never to vote for them again.
