The police are investigating two fires that broke out in Zejtun and Tarxien early yesterday morning.

In a statement, the police said they were informed that a truck was on fire in Toni Zahra Street in Zejtun. At the same time, there was a wooden trailer on fire in Neolithic Temples Street in Tarxien. Members of the Civil Protection Department were called on site to control both blazes. No one was injured.

Duty magistrate Silvio Meli was informed about the case. He appointed a number of court experts to assist him in the magisterial inquiry.

The police are investigating.
