Some of the top European players that have already compiled some century breaks will participate in the tournament between eight European players to be staged at the Apple Snooker Club in Bugibba between 20 and 22 April. Six matches will be played every day between 9 am and 9pm.

Vincent Pisani, the organiser of the tournament, said that the aim behind this tournament is to further boost the game of snooker. All the players coming to Malta, and including the Maltese player, will be accommodated at San Antonio Hotel & Spa which is the main sponsor.

Those taking part are Darren Cook (England) who will be accompanied by the chairman of the English Association for Billiards and Snooker, Nicky Godeyne (Belgium), Thurston Grixti (Malta), Alexander Westholm (Sweden) and Luca Brecel (Belgium). The other players are Maximillian Thurr and Alexander Gauss of Austria and Bogdan Cosmaciuc of Romania. Godeyne, Westholm and Thurr are in Group B together with Thurston Grixti. Two players from each group will qualify to the semi-finals.
