A woman was yesterday placed on probation for three years after pleading guilty to issuing a number of cheques from an account that had been closed.
Alexia Cross, 27, from Naxxar, pleaded guilty to issuing these cheques between 2003 and 2006 and defrauding Joseph Micallef of more than Lm1,000.
Magistrate Anthony Vella placed the woman on probation for three years.
Police Inspector Maurice Curmi prosecuted while Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the accused.
