Maltese artist Fiona Buttigieg, together with Italian artist Valerio Miselli is exhibiting her photographic work at an exhibition in Reggio Emilia’s Godot space.
Ms Buttigieg has lived for years on the island of Elba and her black and white photos are inspired by the savage nature of the surrounding landscape. Using what is known as the camera oscura technique, she captures the essence of plants from their shadows.
The two artists observe the earth and come together to create an apparent contrast between a macrocosmic vision and microscopic introspection.
