Irishman Ryan Connar and Desiree Schuler won this year’s Tour of Malta, when yesterday they won the third stage held at Ta’ Pennellu Mellieha.
Maltese cyclist Etienne Bonello placed fourth, and Danica Spiteri finished in eighth place overall.
Yesterday’s final stage was dominated by strong wind. Connar has a time of 4 hours, 40 minutes and 31 seconds.
The Tour of Malta comes to an end today with a symbolic one hour ride between Sliem, Mellieha, and back to Sliema where the official presentation will take place.
