Alex Borg won his seventh national title beating Simon Zammit 7-4 in the final.

For Alex Borg this was the fifth consecutive title.

The match played in a packed hall in Conti Ruggiero Band Club was very exciting with Borg finally energing as worthy winner.

The score of all frames (Borg first) were 71-46, 15-67, 15-62, 51-40, 60-8, 61-21, 57-33, 20-64, 60-75, 76-11, and 88-0.

At the end of the match Malta Billiards and Snooker association President Frans Bugeja presented the winner and the finalist with the trophies.

Alex Borg was rewarded for the highest break of the championship - 138 points.
